Are you looking for something unique to add to your Shabby Chic decor?  This lamp is the crem de la crem!  I’m so excited about the way mine looks in my bedroom!  I made two for each night stand.  I went with neutral and soft colors in my bedroom and it looks like a room fit for a Queen!  I’ve mixed in mirrored nightstands with the other pieces of furniture that I’ve distressed and can we say a “Better Homes & Gardens” room?  You can make these for any room in your home and use different fabrics to change it up to go with your decor.  So many clever ideas…so little time to do everything!  But, what I do know is that if I see something I’ve gotta have, I can always squeeze in a little time to do it!

In this simple step by step tutorial she shows you exactly how to create this masterpiece!  All you need is an inexpensive lamp or one that you are simply tired.  She paints the base of the lamp with a scrumptious metallic paint color and lets it dry.  Then she cuts out 4″ squares of the fabric she chose…lots of squares!  After she cuts the squares she folds several in half and cuts it into a half circle, creating a circle when she opens it.  She puts a circle of hot glue in the middle of the fabric and folds it into itself from the bottom, creating a flower.  After cutting and gluing all of them she starts gluing the flowers to the shade until it’s covered. Wah Lah…an exquisite lamp has been created.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
