Kitchen cabinets can get messy easily, but you can convert the cabinets to rollouts just for $10. I love how simple this tutorial is and if you’re a beginner this would be easy to install because Ana White explains thoroughly in her tutorial video on YouTube. I know this would be my mom’s dream or my dream to have these in the kitchen because it would make getting things out of the cabinets easier. My mom has a lot of seasoning and spices in her cabinets and they’re so hard to dig around without knocking things down. I think it would be a great addition to add to all of the drawers in general because it’s super convenient and useful.

Materials:

  • circular saw
  • drill
  • 22-inch euro drawer slides
  • 2-foot level
  • tape measure
  • for face frame cabinets: shims wood material (plywood, brad nails)

 Directions:

First, start off by removing the existing shelf. There are two types of cabinet styles: frameless and face frame cabinets. This is important to note because this step is for those who have face frames. You would need the shims material around the side corners in the cabinets so that it is flushed for the drawer slides to sit on. Next, use the level and mark the inside of the drawers so that it is even when putting the slides onto the shelves. Install the drawer slides onto the shelf and slide it right back in.

Note: there are different types of euro drawer slides, and if you’re putting heavier objects on them, get the heavy-duty ones. Also, this doesn’t have to be done in the kitchen only, I would do this for the bathrooms too. It’s helpful to have these pull out cabinets because some people have problems getting onto the ground and it gets annoying.
