Got some old whiskey barrels? Turn it into a DIY pond like this from Dave’s Projects on Youtube! This DIY pond is easy to do and doesn’t need a lot of materials to make. This will definitely give life to your garden and make it 10x livelier. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step-by-step instructions.

Materials:

  • old whiskey barrel (cut in half)
  • pond liner
  • solar-powered fountain
  • aquatic plants

Directions:

Step 1

Take your whiskey barrel that is cut in half and put a pond liner within it before filling it with water. After this, put the solar-powered fountain in the center. (You can put some weight on the fountain so that it will stay in place.) Leave the water for about two weeks before putting any aquatic plants or fish.

After two weeks, start placing some aquatic plants on it gently like miniature water lilies. After placing the plants, let everything set for a week before putting the fish.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
