This pretty up do is a fabulous look for the office party or an event where you might need to wear it for more than a few hours. Pinned up, but not super formal, this will look as super with a dress as it would with jeans and a sparkly T-shirt.

2. Messy Knotted Bun With Braided Band

Braids, when you wear them this way, at least are a super look for hair that gets noticed at the Christmas party or New Year’s Eve bash. Easy to do by yourself at home, I tried this and got it right the first time, which is not always the case when you try a new Pinterest hairstyle idea. The messy knotted, braided bun looks great all day and night, too, since a little messier is even nice.
