Christmas will be here before you knew it and you need to make quick decisions when it comes to decorations. If you still have not enough Christmas ornaments and are looking for last-minute DIYs that you can do in a few minutes. Then, I suggest your try making this gingerbread man ornament using felt paper. This is a fun activity that you can do with different designs that you want such as; Christmas tree, snowman, candy cane, and more festive symbols that you can think of. Thanks to RAY – Felt & Craft on YouTube for this adorable sewing project.
Step 1
Draw a gingerbread man template on paper then trace a smaller one and another for the bow tie. Trace the bigger template on a light brown felt, pin it in place, and cut out 2 pieces. Trace the smaller template on a darker felt, pin it in place, and cut. Lastly, trace the bow tie on red felt, pin in place then cut. Place the smaller template on top of a cardboard paper, cut it out then set it aside.

Step 2
Stack the smaller felt on top of the bigger felt template and sew the pieces together using a whip stitch. Take 3 strands of an embroidery thread then sew an outline of the gingerbread man. Straight stitch the outline of the arms and legs with a single embroidery strand. Using a red thread, sew around the bow tie with a whip stitch.
Step 3
Get 6 strands of embroidery thread and French knot stitch the eyes and mouth of the gingerbread man. Then, sew the beads on the body with a normal thread the same color as the beads. This will become the buttons of the gingerbread man. Glue the cardboard and loop string in between the front and back felt. Whipstitch around the gingerbread man to secure.
