This is perfect, especially if you’re a quilter or a tailor and have a stash of fabric scraps. But you don’t necessarily have to be a tailor because this is a no-sew project. That’s right – you only need a few crafting materials for this that don’t involve a needle and a thread.

To start, cut your fabric scraps into 2″ x 7 1/2″ strips. Next, grab one strip, fold the edge in a triangular, and continue to fold it in this manner until you finish the whole strip. Once you reach the end, tuck in the excess fabric. Repeat these steps for the other two remaining fabric strips.

Once you have all three folded, stack them three together, shaping them into a star. Once you’re satisfied with the placement, glue the ribbon (for the hang) to the first triangle, then glue the second triangle piece over, and then the third. Attach a button on each side of the star to finish it. Your DIY star ornament is now finished!
