I was searching for a good DIY coffee table because I want to change our old one, and I came across this gorgeous DIY from DiY BiGBooM on Youtube. This project only uses an old tire and jute rope – super easy to do, and the result is just stunning! Learn the step-by-step instructions by watching the video tutorial below.

Materials:

  • old tire
  • jute rope
  • cardboard
  • glue gun
  • scissors
  • basin
  • glass (for the tabletop)

Directions:

Step 1

Trace the cardboard to the tire hole, cut it, then place it over the hole to cover it. Now, attach the jute rope to cover the whole project. Start by gluing one end of the rope to the center of the cardboard, then gluing it all the way through in a round form to cover the whole thing.

Step 2

Next, make three stands and attach them to the tire. (Cover these also with jute rope for a uniform design). Put a basin on the tire’s hole, attach three mini stands around it, then place the glass top. (You can put some faux plants on the basin to design it).

I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
