Materials:

  • Water
  • Cheap plain vodka
  • Your favorite essential oil
  • Baking soda
  • Dish soap
  • Citrus-based essential oil
  • Vinegar
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Squeeze bottle
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Borax
  • Sponge
  • Liquid soap or Castile
  • Soap foaming pump

Directions:

Room Refresher

Remove unwanted odor and make your room smell better by just mixing 1 cup of water, 2 cups of cheap plain vodka, and 20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Put it in a spray bottle and give it a good shake, then start spraying the room.

Tub and Tile Cleaner

Remove leftover stuff, soap scum, and unwanted smell by mixing 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup dish soap, and 5-10 drops of citrus-based essential oil in a bowl, stir it with a bit wet sponge. Apply it onto the soap scummy surface and scrub well, then give it a good rinse.

Glass Cleaner

For a more natural and safer solution, simply mix 1 cup of water and 1 cup of vinegar in a spray bottle, then give it a good shake (you can add blue food coloring but it’s optional). Spray it onto the glass surface and wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Toilet Cleaner

If you want a health and environment-conscious alternative, then prepare a squeeze bottle and add 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of dish soap, and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide (you can add essential oil if you like). Shake it well then apply to the toilet, scrub, and flush.

Mold and Mildew Cleaner

Some people may find store-bought solutions too strong so for an alternative, simply mix 1/2 cup of borax and 1/4 cup of vinegar in a small bowl or cup. Then, apply it in the areas with mold and mildew with a sponge, scrub it well, rinse the sponge and wipe the area. Lastly, polish it with a microfiber cloth.

Foaming Hand Soap

For this solution, you will need to find a good foaming pump. Mix 1 cup of water, 1 tsp soap (Castile), and 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil on the pump. Shake it well and use it.

Flat Mops

Instead of constantly buying and using disposable flat mops, try putting a microfiber cloth around it instead. You can clean the floor with it while it’s dry or carry around a spray bottle with you. You can also use it for dusting, cleaning walls, ceilings, and every corner you can’t reach with just your hands.
