Make a nine-patch with your squares, alternating the colors, and placing the accent-colored square at the center. Sew the squares into three rows, then press these rows towards the darker fabric. After pressing, sew these rows together to finish the block. Once done, cut the block into a cross.
After this, take one corner and turn it around. Do this to the opposite corner as well. Sew the pieces by twos, press them towards the darker fabric, and then sew them together to complete the disappearing block.
