Smokin’ & Grillin’ wit AB is back at it again with this smokin’ delicious homemade turkey chilli that is well cooked in a crockpot. Having a big bowl of this turkey chilli for dinner is perfect because it requires minimal effort and is both comforting and healthy. Best served with great company before a movie night. So grab your crockpot, check out the ingredients list and wait no further to have this hearty meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. Ground Turkey Meat
  • 4 tbsp *Chili Seasoning
  • 2 15 oz. cans Kidney Beans
  • 2 8 oz. cans of tomato sauce 
  • 2 10 oz. cans Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2- 3 Green Onions Tops for taste and garnish

Chili Seasoning Mix Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tbsp Cumin
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

Directions:

Prepare all the ingredients as stated above.

Heat some olive oil in a heated pan and add the ground turkey meat. Break up the beef and cook until brown.

Once ready, turn off the heat and start seasoning.

For the seasoning, mix 2 tbsp each of chili powder, 2 tbsp cumin, 2 tsp paprika, 2 tsp oregano, 1 tsp each of garlic powder, and 1 tsp each of onion powder and add them to the turkey pan. Mix until everything is well combined.

Carefully pour the meat into the crockpot. Next, add the canned kidney beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with green chillies, and some diced onions. Mix all the ingredients until well combined.

Place the lid on and cook for 2.5–3 hours on high heat or 4-6 hours on low heat. Once ready, give it a stir and pour it into serving bowls. Top with some shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and a dash of green onions.
