Catherine’s Plates has done it again with this crockpot barbecue short ribs recipe. I’ve made lots of ribs lately, but none of them have been as easy to make as this recipe. Like all crockpot recipes, this one is mindless cooking for the most part, and it’s sure to be a hit with anyone you serve it to.
Start by making your seasoning. Combine your salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, and brown sugar.
Using your seasoning, massage the seasoning mixture into the short ribs. Massage it into each side and rotate the ribs as you work your way around the ribs.

Place the seasoned ribs into a hot pan on the stove. Cook the ribs for about 3-4 minutes on each side of the rib. Cook them till they are well browned on the sides.
Once you cooked the ribs in your pan, take them out and place them into your crockpot. Then slice up your onions and place them into your pan with all the seasoning juices still in the pan.
After cooking your onions up well, place them into your crockpot on top of the short ribs and pour your beef broth on top of the short ribs.

Set the crockpot to cook on high for 5-6 hours. Once they’re done, take them out and place them on a foil-wrapped pan.
Brush some barbecue sauce onto the short ribs and put them into the oven on broil for 3-4 minutes on each side. That’s all they should be perfect to serve now.
