To make Chipotle’s white rice, you need white long grain rice, water, bay leaf, cilantro, kosher salt, lime juice, lemon juice, and rice bran oil. I probably would have never guessed it was rice bran oil. It has bright and zesty flavors that pair perfectly with different Mexican dishes. Serve it with burritos, beans, salads, tacos, or Chipotle Chicken. If you are a Chipotle fan, give this recipe a try.
Add two cups of white long-grain rice to a stainer and thoroughly wash it with water.
Add the washed rice to a rice cooker, followed by 3 cups of water and one bay leaf.
Cook in the setting for white rice.
While the rice is cooking, chop one bunch of cilantro.
Once the rice is done, drizzle 2 tablespoons of rice bran oil and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, transfer the rice into a mixing bowl. Add half a cup of chopped cilantro, half a teaspoon of kosher salt, half a teaspoon of lime juice, and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix until well combined. Serve and enjoy!
