There are a lot of things that craving can make you do. Just like what happened to me a couple of weeks ago, I love eating at Applebee’s and would often order their famous blondie! I don’t get tired of its taste and would often crave for it, so instead of going through all the troubles of going to the restaurant, I decided to attempt a copycat version of it to satisfy my cravings at home. Lucky enough for me, I found this recipe on YouTube by tablespoonrecipes and I was impressed upon giving it a try. I might make it more often from now on.
Blondie
Sauce
Toppings
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom and sides of a 13×9 inches pan with cooking spray. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, whisk it well then set aside. Get a large mixing bowl, then add in the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, then beat them with a hand mixer at medium speed for about 2 minutes until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until smooth, add vanilla extract and continue beating. Reduce your speed setting to low, then add in one-third of the set aside flour mixture and half of the milk, beating well after each addition until smooth. Repeat adding the flour mixture and milk until you’ve used all of it. Add in the baking chips and pecans, then stir well. Pour the batter onto the greased pan and spread evenly.

Step 2
Bake it in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then, cut it into 4 rows by 3 rows to make 12 pieces. In a mixing bowl, add in the sauce ingredients and beat them with a hand mixer over medium speed until the mixture becomes smooth and slightly thickened. Serve each blondie with a scoop of ice cream on top, drizzled with the sauce mixture, and garnished with candied pecans.
