Usually this hack is done with a pillowcase, but the problem with that is that you don’t get both sides of the fan’s blades. With socks, you can.
Spray some dusting spray over the sock. Then you place sock around the blade and then clip it. Then slip the sock on the blade from edge to edge. Do the same thing from one blade to another. You will witness how the dirt attaches to the sock since the moisture of the spray makes that possible.
You may use the other side of the sock to clean the other blades as well. After washing it, you may use the sock to clean your light bulbs as well.
