I love cooking in my air fryer, but there can be odors that emanate from it while cooking. Materials Needed For Cleaning An Air Fryer:

  • A microfiber cloth
  • A toothbrush
  • Dawn dishwashing liquid
  • Baking soda
  • Lemon juice
  • White distilled vinegar
  • A small bowl

To get rid of the burning plastic smell of a new air fryer, you will fill a small bowl of vinegar and lemon juice, and set it inside the air fryer basket and turn the air fryer up to 400°F and cook it for 10 minutes.

There is also a wonderful DIY cleaner in this video that uses Dawn liquid, baking soda, and vinegar that will work really well to get into all of the nooks and crannies in the air fryer if you use a toothbrush to apply it.
