What’s a better dessert recipe than Meat Church BBQ‘s chocolate pecan cobbler? I made it for a gathering last weekend, and it was an instant hit! It has this rich flavor that is just irresistible. If you try this at home, make sure you serve it with vanilla ice cream. It’s super easy to make and can serve big groups. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.

With a light smoke wood or pellet, prepare your smoker at 350 degrees, then spray a cast iron skillet or half-sheet steam pan with cooking spray or grease with melted butter.
Unroll one pie crust and lay it flat in the bottom of the prepared pan. Trim excess so it fits nicely, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Add brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined, then add the chopped pecans. Fold until well incorporated.
Pour half of the mixture over the chocolate chips. Unroll the other pie crust and place it on top of the mixture. Trim any excess crust.
Put the skillet in the prepared smoker and let it smoke for about 20 minutes.
Once done, remove the skillet from the smoker, then pour the remaining mixture on top. Arrange halved pecans neatly on top, covering the whole cobbler.
Place it back in the smoker and let it smoke for 30 minutes more or until it sets. Cooking time may vary depending on the pan you are using.
Remove it from the smoker and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes as it’s super hot. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
