I bet there are a hundred ways to turn chocolate into deliciously sweet ways. Here, Cozinha da Lulu shares with us her best chocolate recipe with caramel and peanuts. The caramel with peanuts serves as the perfect balancer to the sweetness of the chocolate.
Ingredients:
Directions:
On a preheated pan, pour in 200g of sugar until it turns into caramel. Then, add 60g of butter or margarine. Stir until everything is combined. Pour in 200g of fresh cream and continue stirring until well combined. Then, add salt to taste.
Pour the mixture through the strainer and onto a medium-sized saucer. This will separate the clumps of the mixture from the smooth caramel. Use a spatula to scrape off all the smooth caramel. Cover the saucer with a plastic cover and let it cool.
Add 70g of chocolate chip cookies to a grinder and grind into crumbs. Transfer the cookie crumbs into a mixing bowl, add 20g of butter, and combine well.
Melt 350g of dark chocolate, or any other chocolate of your choice, and evenly pour it over a molder using a small pastry brush. Let it cool in the fridge for five minutes. After that, add more chocolate and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
To the caramel mixture, add 60g of peanuts. Mix until everything is well combined. Put the caramel and peanut mixture into a pastry bag and pour over the chocolate molds. Then add a layer of grated chocolate. Tap evenly and add the melted chocolate. Using a spatula, evenly layer the melted chocolate.
Let it cool.
Carefully remove each chocolate bar from the molder and arrange them into rows. Melt the excess chocolate again and transfer it into a small pastry bag. Drizzle the chocolate over the chocolate bars in a zigzag or any style you want.
Lastly, transfer the cake onto a serving platter and enjoy every sweet bite!
