Maraschino cherries have a special place in my heart. Every Christmas when I was growing up, I always gave a box to my teachers. - 1 cup of butter (room temperature, 2 sticks)
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of almond extract
- 1/2 of a teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of quick oats
- 2 cups of flour
- 36 Maraschino cherries
- 2 cups of sweetened coconut
For The Icing:
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of milk
