With nearly 43 million views, emmymade, a highly rated YouTuber, tried this recipe and made it herself. She even recommended it to people who are into cheese and potatoes. It is easy to make and only requires easy ingredients that, if I may guess, are already in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, mix bread flour, milk, 10g of unsalted melted butter, and a sprinkle of salt until well combined and dough forms. Transfer the dough onto the counter and knead until smooth and subtle. Wrap the dough into a ball, cover it with plastic cellophane, and let it rest in the fridge.
Boil the medium-sized potatoes and place them in a bowl. Poke a wooden stick through the potato, and it should go through easily. If not, put it back in the pan and let it boil some more. To mash the potato, either use a potato masher or a ricer. Add 2 tsp of kewpie mayo, or ordinary mayo, into the bowl and mash it together with the potato. Set aside.
Roll out the dough into a 22cm (8 ½ inch) circle. To be precise, measure. Shred the mozzarella cheese and place it in a bowl. Measure a loose cup of mozzarella cheese and add it to the center of the dough. Place the mashed potato mixture on top of the mozzarella cheese. Pat and shape with a spatula. Add another layer of a loose cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the mashed potato.
Draw up the sides of the dough, give it a stretch, and pleat it around to cover the mashed potato and mozzarella. Make sure to seal the dough by pinching it. Use the rolling pin to roll out the cheesy potato dough about 8 inches in diameter.
Preheat the pan on low heat and generously brush on some butter. Carefully transfer the dough onto the pan. Move the dough around to be fully covered with butter.
Crush the parchment paper. Brush a layer of butter on the top of the dough and give it a flip. Let it cook until golden brown. Flip one more time and transfer it to the crushed parchment paper.
Slice the cheese potato bread out and try it with some honey.
Enjoy every bite!
