Place a large and deep skillet pan on a stove over a medium-high heat setting. Add in the butter and let it melt in the pan before adding in the onions, saute and cook them until translucent, then add in the meat, and saute it briefly. Season the meat with ground cumin, chili powder, corn kernels, and black beans, give them a good mix until they are well combined, then continue cooking. Deglaze by pouring in the beer, let it reduce for a bit before seasoning it with salt and pepper according to taste, taste, and adjust the flavor to your preference, then set it aside.

Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, add the cornbread mix, egg, vegetable oil, and milk, and give it a good whisk until well combined and smooth. Grease a large and deep skillet pan before pouring the cornbread batter or mixture. Place the skillet pan in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit and bake it for about 15 minutes. Remove the skillet from the oven once done baking, then pour all of the meat mixtures on top of the freshly baked cornbread. Sprinkle all over the top with shredded cheese. Put it back in the oven and bake it for an additional 10 minutes. Garnish it with freshly chopped parsley before serving, then enjoy!
