You can easily make this beautiful quilted bag using only a few charm packs with this sewing tutorial by Missouri Star Quilt Company on YouTube. This lovely bag can fit a lot of your stuff and is pretty sturdy as well. The instructions are also very detailed and easy to follow, try making this in 3 different sizes, you’ll surely love it.
Step 1
Pick 8 charm packs and sew them together in two rows with 4 squares each, then press the fusible batting at the back of the whole piece, and quilt the panels. Once done quilting, trim the excess batting fabric around, and create another set for the other side of the bag. Cut fabric for the bottom of the bag however wide you want as long as it’s the same length as the charm pack panel, then sew them together, and fold in half with their right sides facing and edges matching, clip the sides in place before proceeding to sew the sides together.

Step 2
Pull both bottom corners and flatten the seams, then measure 2 inches from the edge, pin, and mark. Sew straight along the marking, then turn it right side out, and set aside. Sew the lining piece of the bag and keep its wrong side out, then insert the bag outer bag inside, and line up their edges nicely. Create a bias tape with a fusible strip at the middle for the bag handle, then topstitch on each side, and sew the rings as well. Pin the handles in the bag, then sew the edges of the lining and outer bag together including the handles leaving a small gap for turning. Once done sewing, turn it right side out, close the gap, then give it a nice press, and topstitch.
