When I saw this bread popcorn snack video recipe tutorial by One Meal A Day on Youtube, I knew I had to make it immediately. This lovely little snack can be made with any bread, so if you are gluten-free, you are in luck. I only wish I had found this during quarantine because this is a perfect snack if you are running low on ingredients. All you need for this amazing snack is bread, butter, heavy cream, and sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 slices of bread
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • Parchment (or wax paper)

In this awesome bread popcorn video recipe tutorial by One Meal A Day on Youtube, you will learn to make bread popcorn. You will start by cutting the bread into small squares and toasting the chunks in a frying pan.

Then, you will melt your sugar with a little water and bring it to a bubble in the frying pan, then add the heavy cream and butter and cook for another minute. At that point, you will add the toasted bread chunks and coat them all in your homemade caramel sauce mixture. When all pieces of the bread are fully coated, then transfer the chunks onto a piece of parchment or wax paper to fully cool and harden into a candy crunch.
