In a large bowl or container, add the peeled and sliced apples, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of flour. Mix until everything is coated.
Place a pan over heat and add 1/4 cup of butter. Once melted, add the coated apples and cook for a few minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside.
In a large bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar, 3/4 cup of pecans, 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 3 eggs, 3 tablespoons of bourbon, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
Place the homemade thin crust on your skillet, sticking it up to the sides.
Save a little bit of the apples for the topping, then add the remaining on the crust. Pour the mixture on top covering the apples, then add the saved apples.
Place inside the oven and bake at 350F for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Once done baking, remove from the oven and drizzle caramel sauce on top. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
