To make this delicious buttermilk cornbread, you only need pantry staples like sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, butter, vegetable oil, and honey. Aside from those, you also need cornmeal and buttermilk.
It is so good–everybody will surely love it. You can never go wrong with this classic side dish. Serve it with meatloaf, chili, soup, collard greens, or cheese.
Preheat your oven to 350F for 10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, add the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Mix until well combined.
In a microwave-safe bowl, add 1 stick of butter and microwave for 1 minute until melted. Let it cool.
Beat the eggs for 1 minute in a different bowl.
In a large bowl, add the buttermilk, beaten eggs, melted butter, vegetable oil, and honey. Stir for 2 minutes.
