In a large mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of softened butter and whisk until light and creamy.
Place a sifter directly into the bowl, and sift 3/4 cup of icing sugar.
Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and whisk everything well until light and fluffy.
Sift in 2 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour in two batches, mixing after every addition. Mix until there is no visible flour. Scrape the sides and bottom.
Transfer the mixture to a piping bag with tip #6B.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then pipe the cookie batter with reversing twists.
Place inside the 350F preheated oven and bake for 14 to 15 minutes. Once done baking, let them cool before serving.
