Some of you might be craving some veggies or just wanted to take a break from meaty dishes that you’ve been eating the past few days. You might be thinking of serving some healthy meal this time for dinner, but you’re worried that the kids might not enjoy it because they hate vegetables especially brussels sprouts. Well, let me tell you this, you don’t have to worry about that anymore, because there is a way to make those veggies tasty, and it involves cheese! I know you’re excited to find out how to make them, but first, let me thank Rezepte schnell & einfach on YouTube for making this idea possible. Now, let’s head to the much-awaited procedure.

Ingredients:

  • 750 g Brussels sprouts
  • 600 g potatoes
  • ½-1 teaspoon Parsley
  • ½ teaspoon paprika, sweet
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 250 g cream or milk
  • 150 g cheese

Directions:

Step 1

Chop off each end of the brussels sprout, remove/peel outer skin then cut in half. Cut the potatoes into thick slices, then put on boiling water with salt. Cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes, then add the brussels sprouts and blanch it for an additional 2 minutes. Drain the vegetables completely before transferring them onto a casserole.

Once the potatoes and brussels sprout is placed onto the casserole, you can start sprinkling the parsley, paprika, nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste. Pour some cream or milk before topping it with shredded cheese. Bake it in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese crust turns golden brown.
