Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pie crust

Directions:

Step 1

Place a rolled pie crust at the bottom of a 9″ pie plate, trim the excess, and then crimp the sides with your fingers. Place it in the fridge and let it set. In the meantime, make the brownie filling. Add 1/3 cup unsalted butter and 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips in a bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds, stirring in between until the chocolate has completely melted. Next, add a can of sweetened condensed milk and whisk to combine. After this, add 1/2 cup brown sugar and continue whisking until incorporated.

Step 2

Next, add the eggs and the yolk along with 2 tsp vanilla extract and stir to combine. Now, sift 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, and 1/4 tsp salt into the mixture. Whisk until smooth texture, then stir in 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips into the mixture. Pour the batter into the bottom of the prepared crust and spread it nicely and evenly. Place it in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 60 minutes.
