This dessert recipe is incredibly simple and can be made at home by anyone. Although it contains alcohol, it’s safe for children to consume, so there’s no need to worry. Homemade Bourbon Peach Cobbler Ingredients

  • 4 cans of peaches
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon (plus more for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 stick of butter (plus more for topping)
  • 1/4 cup of bourbon
  • 4 pie crust

Slurry

  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of cold water

How to Make Peach Cobbler With Bourbon

Step 1:

Preheat your oven to 250F and spray your pan on all sides with non-stick spray.

Step 2:

Place 2 pie crusts into your prepared pan, overlapping them. Poke the crust using the tines of a fork, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Place it in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 3:

Place a pan over medium heat and add 1/2 stick of butter. Once melted, add the peaches with the juice. Mix and bring it to a boil.

Step 4:

Once boiling, add white and brown sugar. Mix until melted, then add the bourbon. Cook the alcohol, and bring it to a boil. Let it simmer for about 8 to 10  minutes on medium-high.

Step 5:

Make the slurry by combining the two ingredients in a small bowl. Add to the peach mixture and stir well. Continue mixing until the sauce thickens, then remove from heat.

Step 6:

Remove the baked crust from the oven and transfer the peach mixture. Spread it evenly.

Step 7:

Preheat your oven to 350F.

Step 8:

Get the 2 remaining pie crusts and cut them into long thin strips. Lay them on top of the peaches in a checkered pattern. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.

Step 9:

Place inside the preheated oven and bake for an hour. Serve and enjoy!
