This bourbon banana pudding cheesecake recipe by SweetToothMunchies on YouTube is like a luxury dessert for adults but can be made without the liquor. It’s a beautiful dessert that is a combination of 2 different other desserts. I’ve never been a cheesecake fan when I was younger because of how thick and cheesy it is, but I’ve grown to the taste of it. I love cheese, but I think it is overpowering in a dessert which is why I am interested in this recipe.
First, start off by making the crust. Blend the vanilla wafers into a food processor until fully crushed. Mix with the melted butter and vanilla wafers together. Add the crust mixture to a springform pan and use the back of a spoon to form it together. Place it in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and set aside to make the filling. Next, once the filling is finished, place the cheesecake into a roasting pan and pour hot water going halfway up the springform pan. Bake in the 350 degrees oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Chill for at least 8 hours. After, top it off with whipped cream, banana slices, and vanilla wafers.
Note: the use of bourbon is optional and vanilla extract can be used as a substitute.
