Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of quick oats
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup of butter (melted)
  • 2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar

Instructions:

Step 1:

In a bowl, add brown sugar, quick oats, and flour. Combine the dry ingredients. Next, pour the melted butter and add the egg yolk. Mix using your hands. The mixture will have a crumbly texture. Then place 1 cup aside. This will be the topping of your crumble bars.

Step 2:

Put the remaining mixture in a greased pan. Then press down firmly using the bottom of a glass or anything that has a flat bottom.

Step 3:

Put the blueberries in a bowl. Add the white sugar and lemon juice. Mix well. Scoop some of the blueberries and add on top of the crust. Scatter the blueberries making sure that the crust is fully covered. Then top it off with the 1 cup mixture from earlier.

Step 4:

Bake it at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Make sure that this dessert has completely cooled off before slicing to ensure that the bars will not fall apart.
