I always thought paper towels were the best way to clean glass and mirrors until I saw this video from Clean My Space. For streak-free mirrors and glass, use a microfiber cloth and a homemade cleaning solution made with household products you probably already have –vinegar and cornstarch. Yes, cornstarch. What You Need to Clean Glass and Mirrors

  • spray bottle
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • 1 cup of water
  • five drops of peppermint essential oils (optional)
  • cornstarch (for glass only)

How to Clean Mirror

Step 1:

In a spray bottle, add 1 cup of water, 1 cup of white vinegar, and a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Close the spray bottle and shake to mix all the ingredients.

Step 2:

Spray your mirror fairly liberally with the mixture. Make sure not to flood it.

Step 3:

Take a microfiber cloth and fold it into quarters. Wipe the mirror using the S pattern, starting from the top and working your way to the bottom. If you are working on a big mirror, work in sections. Start with the left side then move your way over the right side.

Make sure to not let the bottom catch any drips. Wipe the bottom clean and dry so it won’t rust and ruin your mirror.
