Start by preparing the vegetables. Cut the serrano pepper, onion, and Roma tomatoes into small pieces.
Add some chopped Roma tomatoes in the blender, a little bit of canned tomatoes plus the liquid from the can, 1 chipotle pepper, a few chopped serrano peppers, and a teaspoon of salt. Blend until smooth. You don’t want to add all the ingredients right away, as you still want some texture.
Add the remaining ingredients to the blender, cilantro, and one more chipotle pepper. Pulse it. Take your time as you do this. When it jumps up, give the ingredients to settle back on the bottom before you pulse again. You don’t want to turn the blender on at all. You can add more salt if needed.
Pour in a bowl and serve with chips. Enjoy!
