This is one of the dishes that I prepared for my family last weekend. Everyone loved it, and I can attest that it’s truly the best hamburger steak and gravy dinner recipe you can make at home. The meat is perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the sauce is flavorful. If you are serving a crowd, definitely choose this dish by ThatGirlCanCook! on Youtube.

Place the ground beef in a bowl and gently separate them. Add breadcrumbs, egg, onion soup, black pepper, garlic powder, seasoned salt, dried oregano, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently combine the ingredients. Make sure not to mash or overmix.
With your clean hands, scoop the ground beef mixture and form it into patties.
Drizzle some olive oil into a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties. Make sure not to overcrowd it. Sear on both sides for 3 to 4 minutes. Continue cooking for the second batch. Set aside when done.
Remove most of the excess oil from the pan. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and sliced onions. Saute until slightly translucent and fragrant. Next, add another tablespoon of butter and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until browned. Add 2 cups of beef broth and whisk them together. After that, add brown seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Mix again and add the sliced mushrooms, cajun seasoning, black pepper, and the remaining beef broth. Stir one last time.
Put back the patties into the gravy sauce. If you prefer a thinner gravy, add more broth but if you like it thicker, allow it to simmer longer for about 5 to 10 minutes over low heat.
