I am a big fan of scones, and I always thought it was hard to make until I saw this recipe. Who knew it was this easy? These scones have the perfect texture and taste that I absolutely love. Serve it with cream and homemade jam, if you plan to make this recipe.

To make cream cheese scones, you need cake flour, sugar, salt, egg, baking powder, milk, butter, and cream cheese. You don’t need a stand mixer or hand mixer for this recipe, but you will need a scraper. It’s easy to make and delicious. Give this recipe a try.
In your working surface, add 1 1/4 cups of cake flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Add the cold unsalted butter pieces to the dry mixture. Use a scraper to break the butter into small pieces.
Make a well in the center and add the beaten egg and milk. Mix well with a scraper. Fold the mixture without kneading until a dough forms. Form it into a thick rectangular shape.
Cut into half then place the half on top. Press it down. Repeat four to five times. Place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for an hour.
Divide the dough into 4 parts. Get one and press just like in the photo below. Place a 0.9 ounce cream cheese in the middle then wrap it with the dough. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Beat an egg yolk, then brush each scone.
Place inside the oven and bake at 356F for 30 minutes. Once done baking, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
