This beef stew with mushrooms recipe by Dozus Cook is a dish that will surely be on your rotational menu. It has an incredibly delicious sauce and the pieces of beef are super soft and tender. Ingredients:
- 32 oz of beef
- 7 oz of bacon
- 14.1 oz of mushrooms
- 1/8 cup of butter
- 2 pieces of onions (diced)
- 2 pieces of carrots (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 6 pieces of garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 7 to 8 cups of red wine
- 2.5 cups of water
- 2 glasses of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 3 pieces of bay leaf
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Instructions:
Step 1:
Cut the bacon into small pieces. Add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to a pan followed by the bacon – cook for about 6 minutes. Once done, remove from the pan and transfer to a bowl.
Step 2:
Add the beef to the same pan over high heat and cook for 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3:
Add the mushrooms and cook for 4 minutes. Once done, remove from the pan.
Step 4:
Add the butter to the pan and let it melt. Once melted, add the diced onion and sliced carrots. Cook them for about 6 minutes. Put back the mushrooms and cook for another 4 minutes. Next, put back the bacon.
Step 5:
Add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and minced garlic. Mix and cook for about 3 minutes.
Step 6:
Add 2 tablespoons of flour to the veggies and mushrooms. Mix then add 7 cups of red wine and 2.5 cups of water. Season it with salt, thyme, and black pepper. Stir until well combined. Put back the beef and add the bay leaves. Cover the pan and cook for 90 minutes.
