Ingredients:

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 6 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup full cream milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Eggwash:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp full cream milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions:

Step 1

Add 1 cup full cream milk, one egg, and 6 tbsp granulated sugar in the stand mixer bowl. Mix well. Next, add 3 cups of bread flour, 2 tsp instant yeast, and 1 & 1/2 tsp salt. Continue mixing until dough forms, then allow the mixture to rest for ten minutes. After ten minutes, add 1/2 cup unsalted butter to the dough and mix until the butter is thoroughly combined and the dough is smooth and stretchy.

Step 2

Combine 1 egg, 2 tbsp full cream milk, and 1/8 tsp salt in another bowl. Whisk well and set aside. Back to the dough, flour a surface, and transfer the dough to it. Shape it into a big ball and roll it out flat. Roll the dough into a log and place it in a well-greased loaf pan. Let it rise for an hour and brush the top with egg wash. Sprinkle some sesame seeds over the loaf and place it in a 350 degrees F oven and bake for 45 to 55 minutes.
