In this step by step guide, Food Wishes will teach you how to make these fantastic baked burgers from scratch. Don’t worry, even if you’re a beginner in cooking, you’ll be able to pull this one off. Watch the video below for the step by step instructions on how to make these.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or oil), divided
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/3 cup diced dill (or sweet pickles), well-drained
  • 6 oz cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 8 hot dog buns

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F and grease a 15 x 10″ casserole dish with 1 tbsp melted butter. Set aside. Next, season the ground beef with 1 tsp kosher salt, 1/4 tsp ground black pepper, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, and a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce. After this, add 1/3 cup finely diced red onion, 1/3 cup diced dill, and some grated cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.

Step 2

Now, divide and shape the ground beef mixture on the bottom half of the bun, then give it a little squeeze. Transfer it to the greased casserole dish with the meat facing straight up. Repeat these until you finish the ground beef mixture. Once done, brush the buns with a little bit of oil, then sprinkle some shredded cheese. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes. After baking, remove from the oven and garnish with yellow mustard, ketchup, and some sliced green onions.
