Biscuits are already great alone, but having bacon and cheese infused into one sounds flavorful and amazing. However, if you prefer other proteins or none at all, this is a great recipe by Cooking with Katie on YouTube to follow along with and make at home. With these biscuits, you can create your own flavors. Bacon, cheese, and biscuits are a classic American breakfast so I think it’s interesting to see it combined all in one. These bacon cheese biscuits can be served for breakfast or with salads and soups.
First, in a large mixing bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Use a grater to grate the cold butter into the mixture. Then, add the cooked chopped bacon along with the chopped cheeses. For extra color, add chopped parsley. Add the rest of the ingredients and seasonings and mix.
Next, knead the biscuit dough on a floured surface for 2-3 minutes. Then with a rolling pin, roll out the dough to approximately 2 1/2 inches. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the biscuit shape. Continue to watch Cooking with Katie tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.
I’m very interested in recreating this recipe because it looks very flavorful and has a beautiful mix of colors. There are many ways to serve these bacon cheese biscuits. Also, they look so fluffy and I love the variety of herbs that are added to this recipe.
