Catherine’s Plates has another Fall dessert recipe that uses canned biscuits and it’s an apple and walnut pull-apart loaf. She has so many easy and simple dessert recipes for the season. I love how she uses canned biscuits for these types of recipes because it helps those people who do not want to spend too much time in the kitchen baking. Even then, it’s very convenient to save the mess, and you’ll get to eat the desserts quicker. Some people do like to make everything from scratch, but I don’t mind taking shortcuts.
First, preheat the oven to 350F. Open the canned biscuits and work with 2 biscuits at a time. Split the biscuits in half, which leaves 4 halves to flatten each dough out. Then, brush melted butter on each dough round and add the apple pie filling, walnuts, and brown sugar.
Next, after the dough rounds are filled, stack them together and place sideways into prepared loaf pan. Make sure to place the bottom of the stack against the short side of the loaf pan and tiled so they’re level. Continue to watch Catherine’s Plates tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.
Also, you can raisins or other pie fillings to this recipe if you prefer something else than the apple. I think it would taste so good with a pumpkin filling, and that would be such a Fall treat. There are so many recipes you can make off of this one. I’m going to have to give this recipe a try too. It looks very soft and delicious.
