These air fryer chocolate cupcakes by Cooking with Shirley are my absolute favorite. The best thing about air fryers is that you can prepare different recipes with them. You can make fresh bread, cake, desserts, snacks, dinner meals, and a lot more, but my ultimate favorite is these cupcakes. Whenever I am craving sweets, I make this quick and easy recipe.

This dessert recipe only requires 6 ingredients(water not included), and the majority are pantry staples. You need superfine sugar, vegetable oil, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips. You don’t even need butter or milk.
Anyone can make this recipe at home, even if you don’t have baking experience, as it’s a fool-proof recipe. It’s chocolatey, soft, and incredibly moist. Give it a try and enjoy it with a cup of coffee or tea.

In a bowl, add 1/3 cup of superfine sugar and 1/2 cup of room-temperature water. Whisk to combine. Next, add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil and whisk until the sugar dissolves completely.
Sift 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder. Mix until there is no dry flour visible. Do not overmix it.
Grease the cupcake mold or pan, then fill 2/3 of each cup with the batter. Top with chocolate chips.
Place in the air fryer at 325F or 160C for about 14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the cupcake.
