Banana chips are a big favorite of mine and this recipe sees that old favorite through a different lens, that is they are not “fried” at all, at least not in the traditional sense using lots of oil, they are fried in an air fryer, and only use one teaspoon of oil! These banana chips are healthy and excellent! I wanted to bring some banana chips to an outdoor event recently and I really wanted my banana chips to stand out because they were “healthily fried”. So when I found this video recipe tutorial by My Sunshinesz, on YouTube, explaining how to make banana chips in an Air Fryer, I knew I was onto a winner! They looked so gorgeous and were so beautiful with their crunch crust stacked and by the sound of it, they were going to be delicious as well. The plantain bananas I used were from my local farmer’s market and that made this recipe an instant healthy classic in my world.
