My initial reaction when I saw air fryer 7-UP cream cheese pound cake was how in the world is that possible? After watching the tutorial, this air fryer method can work out with specific air fryers such as the Power Air Fryer Pro. It seems to look like a mini conventional oven and air fryer combined because it has little racks inside. If you don’t have this air fryer, you can still bake this in a regular oven. There’s a lot going on in this recipe that may not seem they would pair with each other, but it’s definitely a lemon-flavored pound cake. CookingWithCarolyn tutorial on YouTube is easy and simple to follow along with and she gives alternative baking times if you do not have this specific air fryer.
First, preheat your air fryer at 300F or conventional oven at 325F. In a large bowl using a hand mixer or stand up mixer, make the pound cake batter. Watch CookingWithCarolyn tutorial on YouTube for the full instructions.
Next, once the 7-UP cream cheese pound cake is finished, rest it on a cooling rack. Then, make the brown buttered lemon icing in a pot on the stove. Pour the icing on the cake and brush it on the sides. Let the icing set in the cake.
I’ve made a pound cake with Mountain Dew before and the lemon flavor stands out. For some reason, I think the soda added keeps the cake moister. This would be a great cake to bake for my dad, but unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to try the air fryer method since mine is not big enough.
