This recipe by The Southern Mountain Kitchen on YouTube will show you how to make a chocolate pecan pie from scratch with just a few simple steps. It’s super easy to make but very hard to resist, and I’m sure that even picky eaters won’t be able to say no. Watch the video tutorial below to learn how now.
Step 1
Prepare all of your ingredients, then get the ready-made pie crust, and spread the chopped pecans evenly at the bottom. Melt the chocolate chips and butter separately in the microwave, then in a large mixing bowl, add the vanilla extract followed by the melted chocolate and butter, and stir them until well combined.
Step 2
Add the flour and give them a good mix, then add the unsweetened cocoa powder, and continue to mix until incorporated. To the batter, add the sugar and salt, then stir until combined, and then add the eggs one at a time making sure to mix well in between each addition.
Step 3
Pour the batter over the layer of pecan, then move the pecan slightly to let the batter get to the bottom of the crust, and place the pie in an oven preheated at 350°F. Allow it to bake for about 45 to 55 minutes, then top it with shaved or chopped chocolate, and serve. Enjoy!
