  • 1 cup of dark chocolate chip
  • 2 tbsp of maple syrup
  • ½ tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of sweet potato puree
  • 600ml or 2½ cups of almond milk

Creamy Gourmet Hot Chocolate

  • 360ml or 1½ cups of whole milk
  • 120 ml or ½ cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp of powdered sugar, or to taste
  • ½ tsp of espresso powder
  • 8 oz of  72% dark chocolate
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Place a medium saucepan on a stove over medium-low heat, then add the dark chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, sweet potato puree, and almond milk, and whisk them until well combined. Bring the hot chocolate to a simmer while whisking occasionally, then turn off the heat once smooth and heated through, and remove the saucepan from the stove. Serve warm and enjoy!

Creamy Gourmet Hot Chocolate

Place a 1.5-quart saucepan on a stove over medium heat, then add the whole milk, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and espresso powder, and whisk them until well combined and heated through. Once the mixture starts to bubble around the edges, turn the heat to low and don’t allow it to boil, then add the chopped chocolate, and stir them until completely melted. Serve warm topped with whipped cream and enjoy!
