Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F, then grease an 8-inch springform pan with butter, and line it with parchment paper. Set up a bain-marie, then melt together the chocolate and butter, and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, then beat them for about 3 to 5 minutes or until light yellow and thickened. Add the melted chocolate, then mix them until incorporated, and sift over the flour.
Step 3
Fold them until well combined, then pour the mixture into the prepared pan, and place it in the preheated oven to bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Run a sharp knife around the inner edges of the pan, then let the cake cool for around 10 minutes, and invert it onto a serving plate to let it cool completely.
Step 4
Place a saucepan on a stove over medium heat, then add in the cranberries, sugar, and orange juice, and bring them to a simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes while stirring consistently until thickened. Add the orange zest, then give them a good stir to combine, and remove it from heat.
Step 5
Transfer and sieve the mixture to a large bowl, then set it aside, and let it cool completely until ready to use. In a separate mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, honey, and vanilla extract, then mix them until smooth and creamy, and gently swirl the cooled cranberry sauce for a marble effect. Spread the prepared frosting over the cooled cake, then serve, and enjoy!
