Step 1
Cut the white fabric into 3 squares at 2¾ inches and 2 squares at 4½ inches, then cut the green fabric into 2 squares at 4½ inches. Stack the green and white squares with their right sides facing, then stitch them all around, and cut them in half diagonally in both directions. Do the same for the remaining green and white squares, then press them open, you should have 8 half-square triangles.
Step 2
Place 2 half-square triangles beside each other, then lay a plain white square on the right end. For the next row, put a half-square triangle on each end with a plain white square in the middle, then for the final row, start with a white square followed by 2 half-square triangles. Stitch them per row, then the rows to each other, and give the block a good press. Trim the block into a 6½-inch square, then make more blocks, and finish your quilt however you want.
