Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F, then grease a cast-iron skillet with oil, and set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder, then mix everything until well combined, and set the mixture aside.

Step 2

Separate the biscuit dough from each other, then cut each piece into quarters, and roll each into a ball. Pour in the water in a small saucepan, then add the baking soda, and bring them to a boil.

Step 3

Drop the biscuit dough into the boiling water, let it cook for about 1 minute, and then remove it with a slotted spoon. Transfer them to the prepared cast-iron skillet, then arrange them around the sides so they form a ring, and brush them with eggwash.

Step 4

Sprinkle some salt over the biscuits, then transfer the prepared spicy cheese dip to the center of the skillet, and sprinkle the reserved cheddar cheese on top covering the cheese dip.

Step 5

Place the skillet in the preheated oven, then let it bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly, and garnish it with green onion. Serve and enjoy!
