Ingredients for Pumpkin Spice Dessert:

  • 6 cups of water
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • cinnamon sticks
  • allspice berries
  • whole cloves
  • 2 cups of long-grain white rice, rinsed
  • 2-5 cups of milk
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp of Mexican vanilla blend
  • 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 can of 100% pure pumpkin

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Dessert:

Step 1

Place a Dutch oven on a stove over medium-high heat, then pour in the water, and add the sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice berries.

Step 2

Give them a good stir, then bring the liquid to a simmer, and once simmering, add the rinsed white rice followed by the salt, and mix them to combine.

Step 3

Turn the heat to medium-low, then cover the pot with the lid, and cook the rice for about 15 minutes making sure to stir a few times so the rice doesn’t stick to the bottom.

Step 4

Once the mixture is thickened and the rice is soft, add the milk and evaporated milk, then remove the cloves and allspice berries, and add in the canned pumpkin, vanilla blend, pumpkin pie spice, and condensed milk.

Step 5

Mix them until well combined, then bring the heat to medium, and let the mixture simmer. Turn off the heat, then serve it with a cinnamon stick and some pumpkin pie spice on top, and enjoy!
