To make homemade banana bread, you only need over-ripe bananas, sweetened condensed milk, and self-raising flour. If you can’t find self-raising flour in your stores, check the note below the ingredients. You can use a mixture of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt as a substitute.

Note: if you don’t have self-raising flour, you can use 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour with 2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of salt. This mixture will work exactly the same as the self-raising flour.
Peel 5 large over-ripe bananas and place them in a bowl. Mash them with a fork.
Add the sweetened condensed milk, self-raising flour, and ground cinnamon if adding. The cinnamon is only optional. Mix all the ingredients until just combined. Make sure not to overmix it. It is fine if the mixture has lumps.
Grease a loaf pan with oil, then line with parchment paper. Transfer the banana mixture to the prepared pan. Spread evenly on top.
Place in a 356F preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center of the banana bread comes out clean. Once done baking, leave the banana bread in the tin on the counter for about half an hour, then remove from the pan and place on a wire rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
