Spread the flour in a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated at 374F for about 15 minutes. Once done baking, let it cool completely.
Add the room temperature butter and smoothen with a spatula. Next, mix in the sugar. Whisk in one egg at a time. Add the salt and vanilla extract.
Sift the baked flour and add to a bowl with the baking powder and baking soda.
Sift the flour mixture directly to the butter mixture. Mix until well combined.
Chop the chocolate into small pieces and add to the mixture, followed by the nuts. Fold until well incorporated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
